Ashley Elementary School

Assistant Principal: Sherry Klingenberg

I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisiciplinary Studies and began my teaching career in Chapel Hill ISD in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. After teaching 7th and 8th graders for four years, I moved to McKinney and began teaching fourth grade at Rucker Elementary in Prosper ISD. I taught fourth graders in Prosper for seven years, and during that time, I completed my master’s degree in Educational Administration through Lamar University. I joined the Ashley family as a fourth grade teacher in 2012, and I am honored to continue to serve the students, families, and staff at Ashley Elementary as the Assistant Principal.

My husband, Jeff, and I love spending time with our family. We have four children: Chelsea, Matthew, Emily, and  Drue, and one grandson: Kayden. We also have two dogs, Gabbi and Max. I have a passion for helping students  achieve and realize their potential. I believe in order for this tohappen parents and educators must partner  together, and I look forward to building these partnerships and watching our students learn and grow.
