Mr. Bledsoe served on the FISD Board of Trustees for nine years – from 1965 to 1973. During this time he served as president for one year and vice president for three years. Calvin Bledsoe was one of the instrumental leaders in ensuring the passage of the bond that built the Frisco High School that is now Staley Middle School.
This 1944 graduate of Frisco High has continued to be a contributor to and supporter of the Frisco schools through his service on the Citizen’s Facility Naming Committee. He has instilled a spirit of giving to community and a love of learning in his four children who all graduated from FHS and then earned education degrees.
Two of his sons, Max and Kip, are long-time educators in the FISD and active in numerous youth activities and programs; Joe pursued farming and Liz is using her degree at a local church in Azle.
