The Star Kickoff Results in New Ford Truck for Bledsoe Principal

Feb 16, 2017

Bledsoe Elementary Principal Jamie Peden has never owned a pickup truck before. She would even tell you that she’s never really viewed herself as a pickup truck-type of person. Recently, however all of that changed.

It all started at The Star Kickoff, the Frisco ISD quadruple header back on August 27 at the Ford Center. There Mrs. Peden filled out a card to play “Spin to Win” for a chance to win a Dallas Cowboys Edition F150 Ford truck. At the time, she thought she’d only won a towel.

But just a few short weeks ago, she received a phone call saying she had won much more than that towel. Peden learned she was one of three contestants chosen to toss mini-footballs into the back of an F150 truck during halftime of an upcoming game at AT&T Stadium.

That game was the December 26th game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As halftime of the game approached, Peden was anxious on the sidelines. During the competition, Peden only got two of the mini footballs to stay in the bed of the truck in the 15 seconds allotted. Her other contestants did not get any. When Peden learned that she was the winner of the shiny, new pickup truck, she could hardly contain herself.

“I was like, you’ve got to be kidding. And then I heard my name announced and I started jumping up and down!” Peden said.
