Boals Elementary School

                New Counselor Melissa Isler

My name is Melissa Isler and I’m the Counselor at Boals Elementary.  This is my second year at Boals and I absolutely love it!  I am originally from Arkansas, but I've been a Texan since I was 7 years old.  I grew up in West Texas and went to college in San Angelo.  I graduated from Angelo State University and started my teaching career in Carrollton- Farmers Branch ISD, where I taught 4th grade for one year and 1st grade for 2 years.  I moved to The Colony and taught 1st grade in Lewisville ISD for 5 years while working on my masters in Counseling at the University of North Texas.  I was a counselor in Plano ISD for 4 years.
My husband, Wes, and I have 2 boys that keep us very busy!  My oldest son is a 7th grader at Staley, and my youngest is a 3rd grader at Boals.  They are both active in sports so we spend our weekends at games and tournaments.  I love watching them play!  We also have a dog and 2 hamsters.  When I do have free time I love going shopping, reading, and attempting craft projects.
I truly enjoy working with children of all ages and seeing them grow and learn each year!
