Carroll Elementary School

Assistant Principal:
Tina Nixon

Hello, Carroll family!

My name is Tina Nixon and I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal for Carroll Elementary. This will be my 11th year in Frisco ISD. Throughout those 11 years, I have had the honor of serving as a resource and general education teacher, as well as a Digital Learning Coach. Prior to joining Frisco, I served as a District Trainer and Grant Manager for Irving ISD.

I am a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University (GO POKES), where I competed in track/field. I later received my Master’s degree in Administration from Concordia University and then, my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Educational Technology from the University of Phoenix. As a first generation college student, I believe whole-heartedly in the power of education and the difference it can make in the lives of children. I believe every child deserves an opportunity to receive the best education possible. In order for every child to receive the best education, it must be a joint commitment within our community (our village). Therefore, I look forward to building lasting relationships with the students, families, faculty and staff of Carroll Elementary.

When I am not at school I can be seen around town at various sporting events. My family and I love sports, so you may see me cheering my boys on at their basketball and football games, or at a stadium watching them compete in track and field. I also volunteer my time in church and to several organizations. One of them being a scholarship program created in memory of my baby brother. Since 2012, my family and I have had the honor of providing scholarships to over 36 high school seniors in the D/FW area, who have a desire to attend college, but need financial support.

I cannot express in words how happy I am to be joining this wonderful school and community! I look forward to meeting each of you, as we embark on a fun and rewarding journey, this school year.
