Being named Principal of Christie Elementary School serves as one of the most significant and exciting events in my life. I am honored and humbled to be chosen to lead a school in this amazing school district and community. Bill and Ruth Christie were both humble servant leaders who felt led to help students and support FISD! They established an important legacy that we will continue to honor in all that we do.

This school year will mark my twenty-fifth year in education. In the fall of 1993, I earned my BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. I completed two master’s degrees from Texas A&M Commerce and Lamar University.

I began my teaching career as a classroom teacher for Frisco ISD in 1994 at Acker Elementary.  From 2002-2010, I served as an instructional math and literacy facilitator with the FISD curriculum department.  In 2010, I joined Bright Elementary as the assistant principal. In 2014, I opened Scott Elementary as the principal and spent the last four years there.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Martin and our three boys. Trevor and Mason are Frisco ISD graduates.  My youngest son, Cooper is currently a 10th grader at Frisco High School. Mason graduated from SMU and is currently working for Oracle in Austin.  Trevor graduated from Texas State and is currently working for Charles Schwab in Austin. We also have an 8 year old granddaughter, Brenlee, that is starting 2nd grade in Austin.

We love having the halls filled with students and families of Christie Elementary. I look forward to working closely with you and your children this year, and I am confident our year will be filled with excitement and success. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions; I can be contacted at brewerp@friscoisd.org. I look forward to meeting all of you this year.

Kelly Cutler - Assistant Principal

Hello! My name is Kelly Cutler, and I am thrilled to start my eleventh year in education as an Assistant Principal at Christie Elementary. I graduated from the University of New Orleans and received my master’s degree in education from Lamar University. I served our district as the Bilingual/ESL Facilitator for three years. Prior to that, I taught Third Grade at Christie Elementary. Before becoming part of the Frisco family, I was an elementary Bilingual teacher in Garland ISD.

Outside of the school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.  I love to run, read, and travel, especially trips to the beach in Nicaragua where I grew up. I have an amazing 14 year old named Chase. He is very independent and likes to play golf!

I look forward to an amazing school year working alongside students, teachers, and our community!

John Waldrip - Assistant Principal

I am excited to begin my twelfth year in education and in FISD as the Assistant Principal at Christie Elementary. I have heard great things about the students and families at Christie Elementary and I’m excited to be a part of the leadership team for the 2018 - 2019 School year.

I began my career in education in 2007. I taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grades at Borchardt Elementary, I was the Instructional Coach at Phillips Elementary for the 2014 – 2015 school year, I was the Assistant Principal at Isbell Elementary during the 2015 – 2016 school year, and from 2016 - 2018 I was the Assistant Principal at Scott Elementary.

I received my undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University in 2007. In December of 2014 I received my graduate degree from Lamar University and completed my Principal Certification.

My wife, Rosemary, and I have been married for eight years. We have two dogs, Norma Jean, an Australian Sheppard/Border Collie mix, and Boudreaux, a rascally Terrier.

I started teaching because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of students.  I feel very blessed to be a part of the Christie team and I’m looking forward to getting to know the students and the community.
