Curtsinger Elementary School

My name is Angie Borgarello, and I am the proud principal of Curtsinger Elementary!   I grew up in Tennessee and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Memphis.  I have lived in Texas for over 20 years and have three children (Sophia, Sloan, and Sawyer).  My husband, Oscar, is from Argentina and speaks fluent Spanish.  He is a middle-school teacher in Richardson ISD.
My career in education consists of teaching students in Dallas ISD, in addition to working as a School Counselor and Assistant Principal within Dallas.  My administrative duties as an Assistant Principal continued within Richardson and Frisco ISD’s.  I became the Principal of Curtsinger in the fall of 2009. Earning two Master’s degrees in School Counseling and Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce afforded me those opportunities, and I could not be more thankful.  As I found, you also will be impressed with our campus spirit, focus upon academic and character-building skills, and will share our motto….”Anchored in Excellence!”
I enjoy decorating, attending musicals, watching movies at the theater, eating Mexican food, playing with my children, and life!  I am passionate about maintaining a positive attitude and aiming for a productive work ethic in all situations.
We welcome you to the land of the “Tiny Titans!”

My name is Wendy Adams, and I have the honor of being the assistant principal for Curtsinger Elementary.  I am a military brat, which means I have lived all over Europe and the southeast part of the United States; but I have lived in the Metroplex for more than 30 years.  My home is now in Lucas, Texas. I live on my little slice of country heaven with my husband, Tommy, my parents and a menagerie of animals.
I have had the pleasure of teaching elementary or middle school in Wylie ISD, Ft.Worth ISD, Lewisville ISD and Frisco ISD.  Six of my years in Frisco, I enjoyed being in the Curriculum and Instruction Department on the professional development team; however, I missed being on a campus with students and headed back to the campus level in 2014.  I received my Bachelor’s in Education and my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from UNT. My Master’s in Educational Administration is from Lamar University. My goal, as an educator, is to advocate for our children, meeting the needs of the whole child and to support all of Curtsinger’s stakeholders to ensure this is done effectively and efficiently.

I enjoy reading, yoga, biking, working on our house and yard and driving my 71 Chevy truck.  I am a southern girl who loves ice tea, flip flops, tractors and cooking for people.

I am looking forward to another year at Curtsinger.

Hi! My name is Susanna Maxvill, and I will be joining the Curtsinger family this year as the new counselor.  I taught and coached at Staley for the past 7 years.  While at Staley, I taught 6th grade English, 8th grade ILA, 6-8th grade History, and PE.  I coached volleyball, basketball, track, and soccer.  I am excited to start this new journey with this community that I have heard so much about.

I grew up in Dallas and attended Richardson ISD schools where she graduated in 2004 from Richardson High School.  I transferred from Texas Woman’s University to Howard Payne University to help start the soccer program under my mentor (who also happens to be a counselor).  While at HPU, I was also on the track and field and tennis teams.  My college fun came to an end when I graduated in 2008 after earning a B.S. in Psychology.  After getting my feet underneath me in the classroom, I went back to school and earned my M. Ed. in School Counseling in 2014 from Dallas Baptist University.

I come from a very close family.  My dad runs the family business, my mom is a special education teacher in Seagoville, and my sister is the assistant swim coach at The University of Miami.  In my free time, I enjoy playing sports (soccer mainly), spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling.  I hope to be able to spend next summer visiting family in France.

Hello! My name is Beth Compton, and I’m thrilled to be Curtsinger’s Instructional Coach.

I am a native to this area. I grew up in McKinney and after graduating from McKinney High School, earned my degree from the University of North Texas. This is my 16th year in Frisco ISD and my 11th at Curtsinger teaching second grade and special education.

My husband, Kip, and I have been married for 16 years. We have two wonderful children. Max is an 8th grader at Wester Middle School and Sara is a hairstylist at All About U Salon in McKinney. We also have a beautiful grandson, Easton, who turned a year old in May. My furry family members include Sophie, Bear and Nitro; our Pomeranian pups.

I enjoy watching Max play baseball, spending time with Easton and hanging out with my family around our pool. I also love watching movies, going to the beach and shopping in Canton.

I’m excited to begin my new role at this wonderful school!
