Summer Reading With Our Mayor

Jun 05, 2014

The Mayor of Frisco is issuing a reading challenge this summer through the Frisco Public Library.  (No library card is needed to participate in library programs, per the Library Youth Services Manager who spoke at our PTA Council meeting.)

Kids receive a prize pack for every 200 minutes read and logged on the website.  For every 600 minutes read, they receive an entry for a grand prize drawing.  The website also lists optional summer activities for students.  If they complete 5 activities, they receive another entry in the grand prize drawing.  The prize packs (received for 200 minutes of reading) will include passes to places on the suggested activities list (example: Sci-Tech).

Registration begins June 6th.  Adults can register for this program, too!
