Elliott Elementary Hosts Annual STEM Fair

Student Shows Off Project at Elliott STEM FairPrincipal Mills Learns About Student's ProjectElliott Elementary School cultivated students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and math during its annual STEM Fair, held May 19.

More than 130 students participated, creating projects exploring a wide variety of topics and questions, including “What Makes a Cheetah Run So Fast?,” “How Do Roller Coasters Work?, “Do Brown Drinks Stain Your Teeth?” and many, many more.

The event isn’t a competition, but rather a showcase of projects to encourage students to explore their interests in STEM fields.

Professionals, community members and other volunteers are invited to share positive feedback with students via comment cards.

Partners included the Dallas Zoo, InTouch Credit Union, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Centennial Medical Center, Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, Merit Energy Company, Frisco Public Library, Whole Hog Technologies, the Frisco Education Foundation, Scoggins Middle School and Heritage and Independence high schools.
