Elliott Elementary Hosts Family Literacy Night

Nov 30, 2015

Elliott Elementary School students and families warmed up with a good book on Tuesday, November 17.

Families and staff gathered to celebrate literacy with an evening of reading. Students and their families came dressed in pajamas and read books together in the hallways. Families could either bring their own books to read or select a bundle of books hand-selected by staff members.

To end the night, families listened to a special read-aloud from guest reader, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jeremy Lyon, and got to choose a book-themed hot chocolate creation served by Elliott staff members.

Everyone enjoyed an exciting night of celebrating reading.
