FISD to Celebrate New Schools During Dedication Ceremonies

Mark your calendar and plan to join Frisco ISD as we celebrate four new campuses and recognize the contributions of each school namesake.

  • Miller Elementary, honoring Coy Miller, former School Board member who was active in youth agriculture programs – Sunday, September 11 at 2 p.m. at 300 Cypress Hill Drive in Little Elm.
  • Nelson Middle School, honoring Dr. Debra Nelson, former FISD deputy superintendent of curriculum and instruction – Sunday, September 11 at 4 p.m. at 10100 Independence Parkway.
  • Vaughn Elementary School, honoring Jimmy and Sammy Lane Vaughn, who played an active role in Frisco’s development and were especially active with youth activities in the 1960s and 1970s – Sunday, September 18 at 2 p.m. at 3535 Guinn Gate Drive.
  • Lebanon Trail High School, honoring those who once lived and farmed in the community of Lebanon – Sunday, September 18 at 4 p.m. at 5151 Ohio Drive

The events include student performances and remarks from school and District representatives, as well as individuals who speak to the contributions of each school namesake.

A reception and tour concludes each ceremony. The events are open to the public.
