Mooneyham Elementary

I am so excited to be the Assistant Principal for Mooneyham Elementary.  I look forward to serving the students, staff and parents of this wonderful community.
I have been in education since 1982. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I have been a reading recovery teacher, a reading recovery teacher leader and an instructional specialist. Prior to coming to Mooneyham, I was the Assistant Principal at Central Elementary in Lewisville ISD for 5 years. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education and Elementary Education. I completed my Master’s Degree in Reading from George Mason University. I have 33 hours of master's level classes for Administrator Certification and 18 doctoral hours in reading from Texas Woman's University.
My husband, Carl and I live in Plano. We enjoy taking walks, watching movies and traveling. We have 3 grown children and 3 dogs that we treat like children. My oldest son, Aaron, is 28. He and his wife live in Plano and are expecting their first child later this school year.  My other son, Ian, is 25 and lives in Oklahoma. He is a reporter for the Watonga Republican newspaper. My daughter, Emily, is 24 and lives in Lewisville. She is a student at UNT. I feel very fortunate to be part of Frisco ISD.
