Classroom Wins $500 from Legacy ER & Urgent Care

Jan 13, 2017

Legacy ER & Urgent Care, a North Texas-based, hybrid-model healthcare facility, has offered Frisco ISD classrooms a chance to participate in a social media contest for students and their classrooms.

Legacy ER, with two locations in Frisco, holds a monthly contest for one lucky classroom to win $500 towards school supplies and equipment. The contest begins anew each month and all Frisco ISD schools are eligible to participate.

To enter the contest, participating classrooms only need to “like” Legacy ER & Urgent Care on Facebook and post #LERcares(FriscoISD) to the wall. The more often a class posts, the more likely they are to win.

“We have always enjoyed a strong relationship with the community of Frisco,” said Dr. Jay Woody, founder and chief medical officer of Legacy ER & Urgent Care. “As a Frisco resident myself, it’s important for us to invest in our students and families, giving back to help them achieve more on a daily basis.”

The winners for September, October and November are very excited with their winnings and the extra supplies and projects their classes have been able to enjoy. The winners include:

Corbell Elementary - Kimberly Fry-Blythe, kindergarten

Smith Elementary - Jenny Griffin-Pitt, art

Pink Elementary - Tiffaney Taylor-Stewart, first grade

Lebanon Trail High School - Kimberly Church, Spanish
