Scott Elementary School

Dear Parents,

I am excited to begin my eleventh year in education as the Assistant Principal at Scott Elementary. I know how wonderful the community at Scott is and I am honored to be a part of it for a second year in a row!

I began my career in education in 2007. I taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grades at Borchardt Elementary, I was the Instructional Coach at Phillips Elementary for the 2014 – 2015 school year, I was the Assistant Principal at Isbell Elementary during the 2015 – 2016 school year, and last year I came to Scott to be the Assistant Principal. I am elated to be back again as the Assistant principal for the 2017 – 2018 school year!

I received my undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University in 2007. In December of 2014 I received my graduate degree from Lamar University and completed my Principal Certification.

My wife, Rosemary, and I have been married for seven years. We have two dogs, Norma Jean, an Australian Sheppard/Border Collie mix, and Boudreaux, a rascally Terrier.

I started teaching because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of students.  I feel very blessed to be a part of the Scott team where we do whatever it takes to make a difference. I am looking forward to another great year with everyone in the Scott community!
