Shawnee Trail Elementary School

Dear Shawnee Trail Families,

Being named Principal of Shawnee Trail Elementary has proven to be one of the most significant and exciting events in my life. I am honored and humbled to have been chosen to lead an exceptional staff in an amazing school and community.

This August will mark my thirtieth year in the field of education.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Sam Houston State University and completed my master’s degree in educational leadership at Concordia University. Before working for Frisco ISD, I was a kindergarten through twelfth grade curriculum specialist in Crandall ISD.  The past seven years in Frisco have been some of my most rewarding. I have had the opportunity to work at two elementary campuses as an Accelerated Reading Instructor (Fisher and Bright Elementary), with 15 campuses as a Literacy Facilitator for the district’s Curriculum and Instruction department, two years as the Assistant Principal for Rogers Elementary.

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Lee, our two daughters, Hannah and Sophie, and our toy schnauzer Jack. Hannah is a graduate of Southwestern University and lives in Austin. Sophie is a graduate of Liberty High School and attends Austin Community College.

Learning is my passion, and I look forward the opportunity to discover and foster the potential in all Shawnee Trail students.
