Smith Elementary School

Dear Smith Elementary Parents,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I embark on my second year as part of the Smith Elementary family.  I am truly honored and humbled to be the principal of such an amazing school community. I look forward to working with you and continuing the outstanding legacy of Smith.

To introduce myself, I grew up in Las Cruces New Mexico and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with my undergraduate degree and received my graduate degree from Lamar University.  I have one daughter, Emma, who is thirteen. My husband, Jason, is a teacher and football coach at Lake Dallas High School. In our spare time, we enjoy fishing, camping, traveling to visit family in Kansas and New Mexico and any other outdoor activity.

The beginning of this school year marks my seventeenth year in education, and this will be my fourteenth year with Frisco ISD.  Throughout my years in education I have served as an elementary teacher, elementary instructional coach and elementary assistant principal.  I view the role of an elementary principal as an opportunity to impact students by establishing productive, positive partnerships with all stakeholders.  Parents are essential to student success and I value the opportunity to get to know each of you and develop productive relationships with supporting your child.  My goal is work collaboratively with you and the Smith staff to ensure your child has a positive school experience. Please feel free to contact me if there is anything I may assist you with.
