My name is Carrie Dellinger and I am honored to begin my second year as the Assistant Principal at Sonntag Elementary.  This fall will mark my nineteenth year in education, with sixteen of those years being in Frisco ISD.   I taught sixth grade in Richardson ISD, and then moved to Frisco ISD to teach fifth grade at Shawnee Trail Elementary.  My passion for mathematics led me to the FISD Curriculum and Instruction Department working as a math facilitator and then transitioning to the Mathematics Coordinator Position. I was also the assistant principal at Bright Elementary.

I grew up in a small town in upstate New York, and attended Southern Illinois University on a golf scholarship.  I earned a master’s degree in education administration from Lamar University.

My husband Dustin and I live in Plano with our two boys.  Our oldest son, Tyler, will be a sophomore at Texas A&M University this fall—Gig ‘Em!  Our youngest son Peyton will begin his senior year at Plano Senior High School. During my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, watching college football, and loving on our two Yorkies--Sable and Pearl.

I believe we can create a culture of learning for all students when we work collaboratively with one another.  I am so excited to see our returning Sonntag students, as well as welcoming our brand new kindergarten students...the class of 2031.
