My name is Ana Travis, and I absolutely love being the counselor here at Sonntag Elementary School. I am a North Texas native and have lived here for most of my life, although my very large family is spread out between Washington D.C., New York, and Texas.

I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University, and went on to teach Language Arts for seven years as a 7th grade teacher. I taught for three years in Wylie, TX and spent last six years teaching in the fabulous Frisco ISD. During that time, I also obtained my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I found my campus family when I joined on as the Sonntag Counselor in 2011. My passion has always been helping students to grow and achieve, and I hope to continue to help our students do just that in my eighth year as counselor of Sonntag.

I am married to my best friend, William, and we are the proud parents of one sweet baby girl, Elliana Grace and one spoiled rotten Chihuahua, Sampson. Elliana will be joining the Sonntag Family this year as Kindergartner and she couldn't be more excited. We love to watch sporting events together, especially baseball and football. We are die hard Rangers fans (yes, even when they're not doing well), but don’t worry…we support the Cowboys too! I am also an avid reader and a fan of anything that takes me outdoors.
