Sparks Elementary School

I believe that building strong relationships with our school community is the key to continued success for our students and our future.  Through these relationships, we work collectively and collaboratively to achieve our campus mission of knowing every student by name in need in order to ensure that all students learn at high levels.  Being a part of the Sparks community as its principal is a tremendous honor, and I am privileged to work each day with our amazing staff, students and families as we further our learning journey.

My husband and I have been married for 26 years, and we have two beautiful daughters.  Our oldest daughter lives and works in New York City as an Inventory Planner/Product Developer for a needlecraft company.  Our youngest daughter is in her second year at the University of Texas studying Journalism and Government.  My husband and I spend a lot of time going to see each of our girls and spoiling our last remaining “child”...our little dog, Taco.

My career in education began in 1990 in Alamo Heights ISD after graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction.   During those early years in my career, I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I came to Frisco ISD in 2007 when I was hired as a teacher at Fisher Elementary.  During my tenure in FISD, I have served as a classroom teacher and instructional coach at Fisher Elementary, assistant principal at Smith Elementary, and have had the privilege to serve as the principal at Sparks since 2015.  Additionally, I am currently a doctoral student at the University of North Texas studying Educational Leadership.
