Susie Graham, Principal

I am honored and humbled to be chosen to lead a school in this amazing school district and community. The Vaughn family has been an active part of Frisco’s development. Both graduates of Frisco High School, the Vaughn’s married in 1955.  Jimmy served on the school board and Sammy was secretary to the Superintendent from 1960-1972.  Sammy is still an active supporter of FISD and in the community. Jimmy passed away in February of 2014.

The end of this school year will mark my twenty-fifth year in education.  Upon graduation in 1986 from Plano Senior High School, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University where I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I began my teaching career in Frisco ISD at Acker Elementary, then Rogers Elementary. I opened Bright Elementary as the assistant principal in 2001.  In 2002 I moved to Jasper, Texas where I was the principal of Parnell Elementary. When I returned to the area 3 years later, I returned to Frisco ISD and worked in the curriculum department.  Beginning in 2005, I was named the principal of Bright Elementary.

I have two children, Callie Grace, a senior, and Connor, a sophomore, who attend Trinity Christian Academy. In my spare time, I enjoy watching my son play sports, working out, attending football games and shopping with my daughter.

As we enter this new school year, I look forward to making memories and developing new friendships.  I am eager to working closely with you and your children this year, and I am confident our 2nd year will be filled with excitement and success.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions; I can be contacted at
