At Mooneyham Elementary, we believe that all children have the right to feel safe, to be treated respectfully, and to have a positive and nurturing learning environment. We believe that spreading enthusiasm for learning from staff to students allows children to achieve their maximum potential. We believe our school is a place where parents, children, and staff come together with integrity and respect to make this our community.
Charlie and Charlotte Mooneyham spent the majority of their teaching and administrative careers devoted to students in the Frisco Independent School District, giving a combined total of over 60 years to the District.
Charlotte taught reading and history, served as principal of Acker Elementary School for 11 years and also served as the gifted coordinator. Charlotte is now an Adjunct at Texas Woman's University.
Charlie has always loved sports and spent many years as a coach, physical education teacher and a mentor to students who faced challenges. Charlie also served as Frisco Middle School principal for seven years. Charlie is active in the Frisco Association of Retired School Personnel.
Together, they are members of the Frisco Heritage Association, Denton County Historical Association and the Choctaw Nation.
The Mooneyhams have touched the lives of many in the community and have been part of building a legacy of learners and leaders.
