Memorial High School honors those who serve others. The name was chosen to reflect the community’s respect for all those who live a life of service. The student-designed artwork at the high school's entrance expresses the sentiments of some of our country's past leaders. The words speak to the bravery, sacrifice and strength required to keep a nation strong.
“The anchor in our world today is freedom, holding us steady in times of change, a symbol of hope to all the world.” George H. W. Bush
“Associate yourself with men of good quality, if you esteem your own reputation; for ‘tis better to be alone than in bad company.” George Washington
“Try and fail, but don’t fail to try.” John Quincy Adams
“Those who deny freedom to others do not deserve it themselves.” Abraham Lincoln
“Let every nation know, whether it wishes is well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” John F Kennedy
