October Rotary Spotlight Shines on Frisco High School Seniors

Frisco High School students Hailey Jenkins and Nathan Hwang were honored in October as Rotary Spotlight Students of the Month by the Rotary Club of Frisco that meets at Toyota Stadium’s River Club. Students who are known for both their academic success and their community service are honored.

Jenkins is the daughter of Steve and Teri Jenkins. She is a member of the Varsity swim team and the treasurer for FHS Best Buddies. She is an AP Scholar with Distinction and won a class award for Pre-AP English.

She volunteers with the Junior Frisco Women’s League, lifeguards, and is a swim team coach for children ages 7 and 8. She plans to attend college in the Northeast and major in business or engineering.

Hwang is the son of Robert and Grace Hwang. He serves as Senior Class President, President of LEO club, and is vice president for both National Technical Honor Society and HOSA (future healthcare workers) club. He says he is blessed to be part of the FHS community and praised the FHS teachers as outstanding.

Hwang is involved in many other areas, including varsity golf and BPA. He is an Eagle Scout, a Commended National Merit student, and student of the year in his AP Physics II class. He is a youth leader at his church.

He is applying at West Point, University of Pennsylvania, Duke and University of Texas.
