Back To School Information 2016-17

Aug 17, 2016

Greetings Frisco High School Students and Parents,

It’s hard to believe that school starts next week!  Our teachers and staff are working hard this week to ensure a great start for all of our students. We are so excited to welcome our new and returning students to Frisco High School.

Please read the information below to help tomorrow and the weeks ahead to go smoothly. Additional important information can be found at: Frisco High School Website

  • Classes begin at 9:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2016.  Our school day now ends at 4:15 pm.
  • Please consult our website for the map for traffic patterns in the parking lots.
  • Upon arrival, each student must check the rosters by the front doors, B/W hall area, or late gate to find his or her 1A classroom. Each student will receive a newly printed schedule in his or her 1A class. Students, if you have a 1A class on another campus or have 1A late arrival, go directly to the cafeteria when you arrive for your 2nd period class. You will receive your schedule at that time.  The only schedule changes that will be made at this time are if there are errors in a schedule.
  • Students who still need to complete registration will need to report to the cafeteria to turn in proof of residency.  The online snapcode portion of registration must be completed by a parent prior to the student arriving at school.
  • New Bell Schedule – the Frisco High School Bell Schedule is posted on our website.
  • Please be aware that we will be locking the gate in the back parking lot to the Tollway during 2ndperiod each day and opening it at the end of 3rd period to limit the traffic through the parking lot.
  • At the high school level, we will not make deliveries to the classroom. Any deliveries to school will be left in the front office, and students are responsible for checking for deliveries on their own between classes or at lunch. Parents are only allowed to deliver lunch for their own student.
  • Please familiarize yourself with the Frisco High School Student Handbook Addendum on our website as well as the FISD Student Handbook located on the FISD website.  Student need to be aware of dress code regulations as well as tardy and discipline procedures.
  • Yearbook photos for underclassmen and ID pictures for all students will be taken on August 25thand 26th during English classes.

We know that the first day of school is stressful for many students.  Please be assured that the Frisco High School faculty and staff are here to help each student and family to have a great first day, first week, and school year.

Have a good evening,

Erin Miller

FHS Principal
