Frisco High Students Honored by Frisco Rotary Club

The Frisco Rotary Club honored two Frisco High School students as the club’s Spotlight Students of the Month at the October meeting held at the River Club located at Toyota Stadium.

The club honors students for academic achievement and their service to the community and their school.

Eden Bohanon is the daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Bohanon. She is very active at Frisco High School, serving as captain of the girls’ basketball team, vice president of the senior class, vice president of Big Sis, Lil Sis at FHS, treasurer of Best Buddies and president of the Varsity Club. She also chairs committees on the Student Council and D.A.S.H.

She has won the scholar athlete award, academic excellence awards, and was named most valuable offensive player for two years. Bohanon has 100 hours of community service as a member of National Honor Society, works at Dr Pepper Ballpark and is in the process of starting up her own company.

She plans to attend Duke University and major in marketing with a minor in business administration.

Lendon Jackson, son of Andrew and Roxie Jackson, serves on the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Advisory Committee and was awarded the Rotary Youth Leadership Award for the District.

Also a varsity basketball player and team captain, he is Senior Class President, a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, the president of the National Technical Honor Society, vice president of Varsity Club, and has previously served on the school climate committee. He has been named to the All-District Academic Team twice and won and All-District honorable mention.

He plays the cello in the Varsity Orchestra. He also plays for police department events. He is in the Interact Club and attends Stonebriar Community Church.

He is undecided about where he will attend college, but plans to major in aerospace engineering.
