Assistant Principal - Diana McClard
Diana McClard

I knew I wanted to be an educator at an early age, as “playing school” was my favorite activity with friends.  Most educators had that one special teacher who created a loving, supporting environment that had a major impact on their life.  For me, it was my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Eberling.  She was the most compassionate person I had ever met.  Her actions guide me in my day to day interactions with students still today.

Raised on a farm in Arkansas, I was the first in my family to obtain a college degree.  I attended Henderson State University graduating with a B.S.E. in Consumer Sciences and later attended Texas A&M Commerce where I received a Masters in Counseling.  My 38 years in secondary education includes 20 years as a teacher, 7 years as an academic counselor, and 11 years as a campus level administrator.

I am the mother of two wonderful young men and Dee Dee to my one grandchild.  My love for public education is matched only by my love of rescue dogs, especially Jack Russell Terriers…I currently have 4!

This is my 12th year in FISD. I opened Liberty in 2006 and taught math there for 5 years. I then moved to Wakeland in 2011 as the Math Instructional Coach for 2 years before coming to Heritage. This is my 5th year as an Assistant Principal at HHS. Before I worked in Frisco, I taught Math at Lakeview Centennial HS in Garland ISD for 4 years.  I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2000 with a BBA in Marketing, and then later completed my Masters in Education Administration through Concordia University in 2009. Outside of school, I love having fun with my kids, being outdoors as much as possible, and spending time with friends and family.
