Liberty High School Student Newspaper Wins National Honor

Dec 10, 2015

The Liberty High School online student newspaper, Wingspan, has been named one of the nation's top 13 high school digital news sites by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA).

Every year, the CSPA bestows Crown Awards to members that exhibit overall excellence in coverage, writing, design, photography and concept. The program, dating back to 1982, is the highest honor bestowed by the CPSA.

Liberty is among the Crown Award winners and will receive either a Gold Crown or Silver Crown award. These designations will be announced at the CSPA Spring Convention at Columbia University in March.

Wingspan features content created by journalism and broadcast journalism students at Liberty High School. It can be found online at libertywingspan.com.
