Lone Star Students Honored at Rotary Club Meeting

The Rotary Spotlight Students of the Month for September were Kaartikey Gupta, son of Prashant and Rachna Gupta, and Toni DeGraff, daughter of Stuart and Jennifer DeGraff.

On September 10, the students were the special guests of the Rotary Club of Frisco, which meets each Thursday at the River Club at Toyota Stadium.

Gupta is senior editor of the Ranger News Network, ASL Honor Society historian, a member of the Academic Decathlon team, National Honor Society, active in Interact Club and winner of the Rotary Youth Scholarship award. He attended Camp RYLA, the Rotary summer camp program.

Gupta is a volunteer at the Perot Museum in Dallas and a wedding photographer. He is a member of the Dallas Astronomy Club and hopes to study Astrophysics with a focus on relativity and quantum physics.

DeGraff is president of the Lone Star Student Council and President of the Class of 2016. She recently won the Loyalty Award at school.

DeGraff is an active volunteer, serving at various Frisco ISD functions and with the City of Frisco. She spends her summers as a camp counselor.

She hopes to study anthropology.
