French Students Get Opportunity to Speak with Dallas Stars Player

Jan 13, 2016

On January 9, students in French classes from Centennial, Frisco and Lone Star high schools attended the Dallas Stars game.

After the game, students had a private meet-and-greet with Stars player Antoine Roussel, who is from France. Mr. Roussel shared a bit about his life and how he came to be a hockey player. Students were able to practice what they have been learning in class by asking questions in French.

The students were escorted by teachers Erin Urquhart and Brandon Walters from CHS, Heather Salazer from FHS and Christina Thomas from LSHS.

The visit marked the third such trip in what is quickly becoming an annual tradition. (Merci, Rousel! Vive la France!)
