Reedy Librarian wins Texas Association of School Librarians Media and Virtual Presence Award for 2015:

May 13, 2015

At the Texas Library Association Annual Conference, our very own Nancy Jo Lambert, was awarded the Texas Association of School Librarians Media and Virtual Presence Award for 2015.

Here is a little bit about the award:TASL (Texas Association of School Librarians) sponsors an award for web media pertaining to school librarianship. The MVP (Media/Virtual Presence) Award is given to those school librarians who show excellence in their virtual presence through several different avenues, including but not limited to Twitter, professional websites, Facebook, school library websites, blogs, Pinterest, and other social media. Winners for this award are selected by a panel of judges, including TLA officers and TASL officers and/or committee members.

She is also a co-moderator of a professional learning network Twitter for Texas librarians, and that group of chat moderators also received the same award. So, technically she won it twice! (It should also be noted that she was a previous winner of this award in 2013.)

We are so proud of Nancy Jo as she continues to reach, learn and make an impact on schools/professionals through social media. Way to go Reedy Lion!
