Frisco Rotary Honors Reedy High School Students in November

Nov 18, 2015

The Frisco Rotary Club November student spotlight focused on Ryan Krogfross and Ellie Meinershagen, both of Reedy High School. Reedy opened this year with only freshmen and sophomores attending.

Each month, the club, which meets at the River Club at Toyota Stadium, honors students from local high schools who are strong in academics and in representing the Rotary values through public service.

Krogfoss is the son of Bill and Micky Krogfoss. He is active in marching band, video game ensemble, table tennis and is a member of National Junior Honor Society. He was selected as a bandsman of the year in 2014 and won an Ensemble Division I Medal and was part of the President’s Education Awards Program. He is active in his church and in working with homeless outreach. He hopes to attend The University of Texas at Austin to major in computer science.

Meinershagen is the daughter of Todd and Tammy Meinershagen. She is active in Debate Club and also serves on the Reedy Student Council. She was very involved in the recent Reedy Mum Challenge, which encouraged students to purchase a simple flower for Forthcoming to support a local charity. She is also an avid musician, studying cello for orchestra and choir. She also is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She plays music for the elderly as a way of volunteering. She hopes to attend Northwestern University to study law.
