Mrs. Charese Duffey, Principal

Charese Duffey joined Frisco ISD in 2005 as an English/Language Arts teacher at Wester Middle School. Prior to coming to Frisco, she worked in Lewisville ISD where she taught high school English for five years. Ms. Duffey proudly served in the U.S. Navy for five years before receiving both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Texas. Ms. Duffey enjoys working with the youth of our community and looks forward to another great year at Clark. Go Cougars!


Mrs. Chelsea MacKinnon, Assistant Principal (6th Grade & 7th Grade Students A-M)

Mrs. MacKinnon earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso where she played collegiate soccer on a full scholarship. She earned her master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington while playing semi-professional soccer with the Texas Spurs. Mrs. MacKinnon taught Honors English I and was a team leader at Shepton High School in Plano ISD for the last four years. She has worked in education since 2010 and has also taught and coached in both El Paso ISD and Denton ISD. Mrs. MacKinnon is an avid Cross Fit athlete who is training to become a regional athlete one day! She works out every morning at 5:30am, and also enjoys spending time with her amazing husband and her two labradoodles, Dexter and Dubai. To the position of campus assistant principal, Mrs. MacKinnon brings a servant-leadership style grounded in open communication, innovation and a true commitment to the development of the whole child. She looks forward to meeting students and parents of Clark in the near future.

 

Mrs. Janis Bennett, Counselor (6th Grade & 7th Grade Students A-M)



This is Mrs. Bennett’s tenth year at Clark as a counselor.  She served in the United States Air Force from 1996-2000 before beginning college. In 2003, she earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Dallas and later, her graduate degree from Dallas Baptist University.  Prior to coming to Clark as a counselor, Mrs. Bennett taught history for 5 years in Frisco and Wylie ISDs. Mrs. Bennett is married with three children. She enjoys sports and can be found with her family at a soccer or baseball field on most weekends. She is also a huge Seattle Seahawks fan!



Mrs. Amy Reed, Assistant Principal (8th Grade & 7th Grade Students N-Z)


Mrs. Reed is beginning her tenth year as an assistant principal at Clark.  Prior to becoming an administrator, she taught math and algebra for ten years in Frisco ISD at Clark and Griffin, and in the Southlake Carroll, Leander, and Marfa ISDs.  She is a true Red Raider, graduating from Texas Tech University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1997, and The University of North Texas with a Masters of Education Administration in 2007.  Mrs. Reed is married and has three children.  The Reeds love to travel, cook, and spend time outdoors.  They have a travel trailer and take it out as often as possible!  As a family, they have traveled to 18 states and look forward to adding to that list!  

 Mrs. Talia Hegmann, Counselor (8th Grade & 7th Grade Students N-Z)

Mrs. Hegmann was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas and graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton. Mrs. Hegmann obtained her Masters in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2014. This is Mrs. Hegmann’s eighth year in Frisco ISD and her first at Clark Middle School as a counselor. Prior to becoming a counselor at Clark, she was a special education math teacher for seven years at Roach Middle School. Mrs. Hegmann is married and has two children. In her free time, Mrs. Hegmann loves to spend time with her family and friends, watch soccer, bake, and travel.
