Mar 16, 2017

Johnny Quinn is a professional speaker and travels the globe to inspire audiences by delivering thought-provoking and action-packed speeches to businesses, schools and organizations. He speaks, teaches and inspires people to “Think Like An Olympian” in life! Johnny speaks at a wide variety of events ranging from assemblies, banquets, businesses, campuses, conferences, galas and other functions. The audience and age groups Johnny speaks to are just as diverse. He has relevant and impactful messages for corporate patrons all the way down to first graders.

Johnny is a U.S. Olympian in the sport of bobsled and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He has traveled the world with Team USA, where competition has taken him to Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Switzerland. Competing, living and interacting within different cultures around the world has provided a unique perspective, and ability, to connect with today’s diverse workforce.

During the Sochi Olympics, Johnny got stuck in his Olympic Village bathroom and had to break down the door. The picture of the busted bathroom door has been retweeted over 27,000 times and seen by an estimated 10 million people around the world! Media and news outlets around the world went crazy over the broken door situation.

Johnny is a former pro football player, spending time with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers and Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Only three people have played in the NFL and competed in the Winter Olympics (Herschel Walker, Jeremy Bloom and Johnny Quinn).

Johnny graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Pre-Law and left as the school’s All-Time Leading Receiver. He also walked-on to the track team and helped anchor the 4×100 relay to a NCAA Regional mark and the third fastest time in school history. In 2011, Johnny was inducted into the University of North Texas Hall of Fame as a first ballot candidate. In 2013, he was selected as one of two receivers for the UNT All-Century Team.

Johnny grew up in McKinney, Texas, where he was an All-State receiver at McKinney High School. Despite leading the State of Texas in receptions and finishing second in receiving touchdowns at the Class 5A level, he was a non-recruited student-athlete. Johnny did not receive an athletic scholarship until two days before signing day. He is also the founder of The Athlete Watch, an online platform that helps student-athletes and their families search for scholarships.

Johnny married his lovely wife, Amanda on May 3, 2014! They reside in McKinney, a suburb 45 minutes north of Dallas, Texas.
