Greetings Husky Parents!

It is my hope that you have all had a wonderful summer full of memorable moments.  As a new member of the Husky family I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received.  I count it as a blessing to have the opportunity to partner with you to ensure our kiddos have an amazing year.

Please know that your Hunt administration team has been busy this summer. We have added some outstanding new staff members to our rolls.  FISD’s allure continues to allow us to select the very best incoming teachers to add to our already exceptional staff.  

The start of the school year can be chaotic for a family, or at least it is for mine. I want to aide you in that chaos management by providing you with as much useful information as possible.  Our website,, will also be a valuable resource.

Dates to remember:

  • Monday, August 4th                  Hunt front office re-opens (office hours are 8:00 – 4:00)
  • Thursday, August 14th              6th Grade Husky Camp (Orientation)
    • 8:30 – 9:00        Schedule pick-up
    • 9:00 – 12:00      Student orientation
    • 9:00 – 10:00      Parent Orientation and

      Meet Your Principal


  • Thursday, August 14th              7th /8th grade schedule pick-up
    • 4:00-6:30           Schedule Pick-up (come and go)
    • 5:30-6:30           Meet Your Principal (come and go)


  • Tuesday, August 19th                Meet your Locker Night – All Grades
    • 5:30 – 7:00 (come and go)


Husky Fast Pass –This will allow you to skip the registration lines at schedule pick-up.  This option is only available for students that were in FISD last year.  In order to receive your Husky Fast Pass you must provide:

  • Proof of Residency
  1. Must be either a water, electric, or gas bill
  2. Bill must be from July or August
  •  7th Grade Students must also provide: Documentation of all updated shot records (see website for specifics)

 You may start dropping off these items on August 5th between the hours of 8:00 – 4:00. 

 New to FISD Registration

New to FISD Registration will take place August 5th,  6th, 7th, 8th, 12th, 13th and 15th

                between the hours of 8:30 – 11:30 or 1:00 – 4:00.

(There will be no registration on the 14th.)

Evening Registration and /or help with your Infosnap will take place August 11th from 4:00 – 6:30 (Spanish Speaking Assistance Provided)

PE Uniforms

If your family has ordered a uniform it will be available for pick-up at Husky Camp.  You may also purchase these on your own (solid black shorts and solid grey t-shirt – no logos). Please be aware that shorts must be fingertip length.


We are fortunate to have an amazing PTA.  Please be sure to stop by and see their booth at upcoming events.  Husky Spirit Wear will be available for purchase at the PTA booth. Additionally, the PTA will have information on membership, events, and service opportunities. 

After that list I realize you are likely exhausted!  Please rest assured that we want to make the registration and back to school process as smooth as possible for your family.  Feel free to contact your front office staff with any questions.
