Chakosha Powell

Chakosha Powell, principal of Maus Middle School, joined FISD in 2014 from Richardson ISD.  She has 20 years of experience as a public educator which includes being a math teacher, coach, and athletic coordinator.  She has served in a leadership position for the last 10 years with experience as assistant principal, intern and summer school administrator. Her bachelor's degree is from South Carolina State University, her master's degrees are from Stephen F. Austin State University and the University of Texas at Arlington.  She most recently earned her Educational Specialist degree from Grand Canyon University.  

In addition to being a life-long learner, she is a wife and mother of two children, both enrolled in FISD. Mrs. Powell enjoys coaching and attending sporting events and serving in her church. 




Gloria Gage

With over 25 years of experience in education, Gloria Gage has been an assistant principal of Libby Cash Maus Middle School since it opened in 2010. Prior to her current position,  Mrs. Gage was a classroom teacher for 20+ years, the last 4 of those in FISD at Liberty High School where she also served as Department Chair of LOTE (Languages Other Than English). She taught Spanish and Social Studies at the middle and high school levels for 23 years in 6 schools in Texas and Florida. She has a bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M University and a master’s degree from Texas Woman's University.






Karen McNeil

Karen McNeil began her career as an educator in 1997. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, Mrs. McNeil worked as a middle school science teacher, science department head, and district curriculum writer in Plano ISD. In 2012, she joined the Frisco ISD family as a classroom teacher, science instructional coach, and district curriculum writer at Roach Middle School. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas.
