FISD Student Designs Look for Reedy High School

Oct 07, 2014

vA graphic design and illustration student at the Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center created this original logo for the new Reedy High School.

Jake Luedecke, a sophomore at Centennial High School, designed the image using the school’s colors: green, silver and blue.

Reedy, which is Frisco ISD’s eighth high school, will open to ninth and tenth graders next fall. It is currently under construction at the southwest corner of Stonebrook Parkway and 4th Army Drive in Frisco.

Principal Karen LeCocq plans to use Luedecke’s design in official communications.

“I just loved the design that he came up with,” LeCocq said. “I think it captures the pride that we are going to have and the traditions we’ll build.”

Future Reedy students will select a mascot in the spring. The process to create attendance boundaries for the school begins at the regular School Board meeting on Monday, October 13. Hiring for critical positions will begin in January.
