Oct 24, 2014

Students Explore C-SPAN BusStudents at the Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center recently got the opportunity to visit an interactive bus featuring information about C-SPAN, the television network that provides gavel-to-gavel coverage of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

The bus visited the CTE Center on Wednesday, October 22, thanks to a referral from local provider Grande Communication.

Students studying law, media, graphic design and more explored the bus, which includes a television studio and multiple monitors where visitors can view and interact with C-SPAN programs and websites. Visitors can also test their knowledge of public affairs through quizzes and learn about the StudentCam documentary contest.

The goal is to introduce visitors to public affairs programming and provide a greater understanding of C-SPAN and its free resources.

Students received a free personal copy of the U.S. Constitution and a ruler featuring American presidents and vice presidents.
