Frisco ISD Lamb and Goat Show Team Compete at Livestock Show

Jan 21, 2015

The Frisco ISD Lamb and Goat Show team competed at the 2015 Collin County Junior Livestock Show on January 8.  Students are able to show off all their hard work and skills they have learned in class at the show.  Students obtain their market animals during the summer and care for them twice per day for the duration of the show season.

Students who participate in the FISD FFA Show Teams take full ownership of their animal and apply standards from their agriculture science classes in order to provide a quality feed regimen as well as a safe and sanitary environment.  Students who show learn a great deal of lifelong lessons through the program including time management, responsibility, prioritization, as well as the values such as hard work and ethics.

Students will continue to see their hard work come to fruition this month at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as well as the San Antonio Stock Show in February.
