CTE Law Students Advance to National Semi Finals in Moot Court Competition

Ten Students from the Government and Public Administration pathway at the CTE Center advanced to the oral argument stage of the Virtual Supreme Court Competition hosted annually by the Harlan Institute and ConSource. Students from the CTE Center are back to back defending national champions. This year students will comprise half of the teams making the semifinal stage.

Students select a partner to form two person teams to compete in the written brief and oral argument stages of the competition.

Stage one requires a written brief over the case. The brief must be a minimum of 2,000 words. In stage two teams will compete in a virtual oral argument session over Google+ Hangout judged by staff members at the Harlan Institute and ConSource. The top 2 teams at this point will compete for the Solicitor General Award.

Students advance to the second stage Court of Appeals are :

  • Brendan O’Neill & Dominique Parker
  • Connor Reddington & Brandon Johnson

Grand Prize is trip to Washington D.C. for Constitution Day in September 2015.
