All nine entries submitted by Frisco ISD-TV received recognition.

The National Federation of Press Women’s High School Communications Contest inspires students to do their best work, which earns them recognition. The National Association of Secondary School Principals has placed the contest on its “NASSPNational Advisory List of Student Contests and Activities."

Students may enter work in any of 22 contest categories: Editorial, Opinion, News Story, Feature Story, Sports Story, Columns, Feature Photo, Sports Photo, Cartooning, Review, Graphics/Photo Illustration, Single-Page Layout, Double-Truck Layout, Environment, Radio Prepared report, Radio or Television Interview or Talk Show, Video News Story, Video Feature Story, Video Sports Story, Yearbook Layout, Yearbook Photo, and Yearbook Copywriting.

National student winners receive a certificate, and 1st place winning entries are awarded $100. The 1st place winners, their parents, and advisers are invited to attend the NFPW High School Communications Contest Awards Luncheon, which will be held Sept. 12, 2015, during the NFPW conference in Anchorage, Alaska.
