Advanced Graphic Student Designs North Texas Cookbook for 8 Districts

Rachel Goodman, an advanced graphic design and illustration student at the Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center, won a contest to design the Kids Teaching Kids North Texas recipe book, which was distributed to more than 120,000 North Texas students this January to help change their snacking habits of students in eight school districts. As a result, the CTE Center won $1,000 to go toward its graphic design program.

Kids Teaching Kids is a community program funded by Medical City Children's Hospital. Frisco ISD was the first school district to partner with MCCH in the spring of 2010 to publish the first Kids Teaching Kids cookbook which included 20 healthy kid-friendly snack recipes created by the Frisco ISD CTEC culinary arts students.

Since that spring, Kids Teaching Kids has made great strides.  Frisco ISD has been proud partner along the way.  You can check out all the FISD student created recipes and cookbooks below:
