“Mission accomplished,” Frisco ISD-TV Executive Producer Eva Coleman said. “I live in my purpose and it’s to provide avenues for my students to take this industry by storm!”

Frisco ISD-TV Senior Producer/Senior Editor Erin Davis is in her second and final year on the Frisco ISD-TV news team.  She’s covered the District extensively during her high school career, which is evident in her body of work which can be found throughout the program’s YouTube channel.

Davis was recently named an Emma Bowen Foundation Fellow.  She plans to attend the University of Missouri in the fall to study broadcast journalism.

According to the Emma Bowen Foundation website, the “Fellows program provides multi-year internships to students of color at media companies across the country.”

“I went through an application process; including an essay, and an online and in-person interview, and now have a paid summer internship with Fox 4 News until I graduate college,” Davis said.

Coleman shared Emma Bowen Foundation program details with Davis and wrote her letter of recommendation.

“This is an amazing opportunity and it all started with Coyote Nation TV (Heritage High School), and my skills became even better with Frisco ISD-TV,” Davis said.

“Erin is so deserving and I know she’ll continue to make us all proud,” Coleman said.  “Starting an internship this summer before she even makes her way onto Mizzou’s campus is an opportunity of a lifetime.”
