Sue Wilson Stafford Named Distinguished Alumni at SE Oklahoma State

Longtime Frisco ISD employee and school namesake Sue Wilson Stafford was honored earlier this month during homecoming at her alma mater, Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. 

Stafford was selected as a Distinguished Alumni for her contributions in education. Read more from the university here.

Stafford, along with family and friends, enjoyed the opportunity to attend a Distinguished Alumni Banquet as well as the SOSU Homecoming game. 

Stafford has served students for more than 47 years including several roles in FISD. She currently teaches middle school social studies and English at the Student Opportunity Center, as well as English as a Second Language and GED preparatory to adult students in evening classes.

She began her teaching career in Duncan, Oklahoma and has received numerous honors and awards during her career as an educator, including being honored with the naming of Frisco ISD’s Sue Wilson Stafford Middle School in 2008.
