Meet Your Coun­selor

Lindsey Etter

Lindsey Etter (etterl@friscoisd.org): 7th Grade and 8th Grade A-L

Ms. Etter is in her 6th year at Wester Middle School and first year as a school counselor. Before becoming a school counselor, Ms. Etter taught ILA for 4 years and coached cheer. She has a Master's Degree in Professional School Counseling from Angelo State University and has a passion for building positive relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ms. Etter is excited to work with students in this new role!

 

 

Kathryn Belt (beltk@friscoisd.org): 8th Grade M-Z and 6th Grade

Miss Belt's background is in Education with an emphasis in English and Social Studies. She has taught in many different types of classrooms and served all different kinds of students over the course of her time in education. She loves sports, dogs, Texas A&M, and traveling and has a strong passion to serve her community in every way she possibly can. Miss Belt is excited to get this new year started to help make Wester feel like home to students, staff, and families alike!

What do we do...

A School Counselor is a person who is trained as a mental health professional with a focus on working with students in the school setting. The primary goal is for school counselors to provide services to students that will allow them to be successful within the school setting by reducing the issues that may be preventing them from learning.
