FISD Community Shares Feedback in Annual Survey

The District asked staff, students and guardians for their thoughts on the past school year, including quality of education, safety and security, and communication.

For the third straight year, Frisco ISD surveyed parents, staff members and students in grades 4-12 for feedback on their school and District.

The survey topics included Teaching and Learning; Student Support and Relationships; Whole Child Development; Safety, Security and Student Behavior; School Leadership, Culture and Environment; Family Involvement; and Future-Ready Learner.

Frisco ISD survey partner K12 Insight presented the results to campus principals and the Board of Trustees in May. Campuses, District leadership and Trustees use survey data to guide campus-based and district priorities.

The survey results provided valuable insights into perceptions and an opportunity to identify trends between the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years.

Feedback worth celebrating

Net Promoter Score: Parents/guardians were asked how likely they would be to recommend their school to someone in the area with a school-age child. Safety, Security, and Student Behavior: 82% of campus-based staff members said students treat staff members with respect and treat each other with respect, both increasing by 8% from last year.

Family Environment: There was high agreement between parents and students that teachers and staff are welcoming to all families.

Future-Ready Learner: A strong majority of parents and secondary students said students are challenged and supported in their ability to show compassion and respect toward others (90% and 87%, respectively, an increase over a year earlier) and to effectively communicate with others (85% and 84%, respectively).

Employee Experience: 92% of participating staff members said they enjoy being part of Frisco ISD.

Opportunities for improvement
