Haven’t registered your new or returning Frisco ISD student? Now’s the time!
By Frisco ISD Communication
Frisco ISD encourages new and current families to register for the 2025-26 school year, which will begin Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025. Frisco ISD processes student registrations throughout the summer in the order in which online submissions were received.
Newly approved transfer options also open registration to students who recently moved out of District or those who changed addresses and want to stay at their former school.
Questions? Email FISD Student Transfers.
Families must provide proof of residency each year as a final step in the annual registration process.
Elementary students will not be assigned to a class until a valid proof of residency is approved.
Secondary students who submit proof of residency after May 23, 2025, may not receive their schedule prior to the start of school. Learn more about the requirements to receive a class schedule.
Updated immunization records may be required to finalize registration before the new school year begins.
Parents will receive a welcome letter to the District via email once their online registration form has been processed and enrollment is complete.
When you have questions regarding registration over the summer, please email IS Registration. After the school year begins, contact the relevant campus.
Returning students
Parents and guardians of current students received an email in April with a unique snapcode and instructions to complete the annual online registration process for each student. Families cannot complete this process until they receive the email with the unique snapcode. The form is also utilized to indicate intent to withdraw if your student is not returning to FISD in the new school year.
Have your snapcode? Find a link to register in English or Spanish.
New K-12 students
Frisco ISD is now enrolling new students entering kindergarten through 12th grade in the 2025-26 school year. This includes families moving to Frisco ISD, registering incoming kindergarteners or re-enrolling former students.
New families should note that two FISD campuses, Gunstream Elementary School and Nelson Middle School, are closed to new student enrollment for 2025-26. New students zoned to Gunstream, other than incoming kindergarteners, will enroll at Sem Elementary. New Nelson students will enroll at Wester Middle School. Find more details about the closed campuses and about bus transportation options.
New pre-K students
FISD invites parents of students who may qualify for free, full-day pre-kindergarten to submit their information to the District. Students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025, and meet eligibility requirements. See if your child qualifies for free, full-day prekindergarten.
