Trustees’ five goals make up the 2025-26 District Improvement Plan, which was approved at the June meeting.
By Frisco ISD Communication
The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees has adopted the 2025-26 District Improvement Plan, developed over several months of feedback and workshops.
The District Improvement Plan is made up of strategic goals meant to guide the work of the District over the next year. Development of annual goals is part of a framework for ongoing strategic change that Frisco ISD calls Dynamic Organizational Strategy. In the spirit of continuous improvement, this framework replaces the idea of a long-term strategic plan.
Following are the 2025-26 Board goals:
Expand and consistently apply positive behavior interventions and disciplinary consequences to reinforce shared behavioral commitments between staff, students and parents, reduce negative behaviors and strengthen interpersonal relationships.
Expand access to learning opportunities that reflect the needs of students, families and the future workforce.
Attract new students to Frisco ISD by expanding opportunities available to students both inside and outside the Frisco ISD community.
Improve student performance by strengthening instruction, balanced assessment practices and data-driven decision-making.
Strengthen stakeholder trust and confidence through emergency response and crisis communication protocols to ensure clear and consistent information is communicated.
Public feedback is key to Frisco ISD decision-making, and the 2025-26 strategic goals reflect that importance. During workshops, the Board reviewed feedback from stakeholder groups, including the District Advisory Council, campus leadership teams, teacher focus groups and the community at large.
Development and next steps
District leadership will work through the summer to develop action plans for each goal, which will be shared with the Board in a workshop in the fall.
Meanwhile, campuses are also developing their own improvement plans based on feedback from their campus communities. The Board will consider approval of the campus improvement plans in September.
Periodic progress monitoring will occur throughout the year. The District’s local accountability system measures the District’s continuous improvement efforts and is designed to hold us accountable to the Future-Ready Framework.
2024-25 report
The outcome of Frisco ISD’s 2024-25 goals will be reported in the 2024-25 District Accountability Report, which will be released in September.
