Class of 2025 Invests in Their Future With College Credits

Six graduating seniors earned an associate degree from Collin College, and 38 completed the two-year North Texas Now! program.

The future is bright for 2025 graduates already entering college ahead of schedule, by earning their associate degrees or two years of college credits.

Through partnerships with Collin College and the University of North Texas, Frisco ISD students are well-prepared for the rigor of a college education.

The Class of 2025 earned 630 college hours through UNT, and a whopping 23,198 hours through Collin College.

These early opportunities to earn college credit also offer cost savings. Students who complete the 42 credit hours through UNT’s North Texas Now! program can save thousands of dollars over taking the same courses as UNT students. And students who take Collin College dual-credit courses are offered the Collin County resident rate, regardless of their county of residence.

An impressive six 2025 graduates earned associate degrees through Collin College:

  • Prachi Arora - Associate of Arts and Frisco graduate

  • Misha Shariff - Associate of Science and Independence graduate

  • Anoushka Kanitkar - Associate of Science and Lebanon Trail graduate

  • Amey Shah - Associate of Science and Lebanon Trail graduate

  • Paris Stone - Associate of Science and Memorial graduate

  • Ryder Montgomery - Associate of Applied Science, HVAC, and Wakeland graduate

Paris said earning her associate degree in high school will save her time and money down the road. She’s majoring in biochemistry at Oklahoma University this fall, with plans to attend medical school — so getting ahead now, with so much schooling in her future, is a huge bonus.

She has an important message for students interested in earning an associate’s, but aren’t sure: “Pursue it!”

“I have zero regrets and would take the same route if given the chance again,” Paris said.

Dr. Kiara Taylor-Edinbyrd, Paris’ mom, is “beyond proud” of her daughter’s accomplishments.

“As a 17-year-old graduate of both programs, Paris has a jumpstart on college and can begin activities like research and medical shadowing immediately,” she said.

Another group of graduates completed the two-year, project-based learning program North Texas Now. Through the program, students earned 42 hours of college credit, also known as core complete.

Congratulations to all of these students who are starting college as juniors in the fall and heading to colleges all over the country.
