Year after year, Frisco ISD choirs showcase their excellence with high marks at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Competition. This year was no different, with 44 secondary ensembles earning “Sweepstakes” at the April evaluations.
For the concert evaluation, each choir performed prepared pieces in front of judges. For the sight-reading evaluation, choirs learned a new piece of music on-site to perform in front of different judges. Each portion is evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the highest recognition of “Superior.” Ensembles receiving the Superior rating in both portions of the contest receive the honored “Sweepstakes” recognition.
These outstanding results highlight the excellence of Frisco ISD’s choral education and serve as a testament to the District’s dedicated, talented directors.
Congratulations to these ensembles and their directors!
