Frisco ISD student-athletes and teams have compiled a long list of state championships and medals in the last five years.

With football games beginning this week, the fall sports season is now in full swing. It’s an exciting time of the year as the weather starts to (slowly) cool down and the school year starts with big hopes.
For Frisco ISD, the hope is that the amazing run of athletic success will continue during the 2025-26 school year. That’s because, in the last five years, there have been lots of athletic thrills.
That includes dozens of individual state champions in sports such as cross country, golf, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field and wrestling. It also includes FISD’s most successful five-year run ever in team sports.
FISD team achievements since 2020:
15 team state champions
19 team state runners-up
47 team regional champions or top 3 in state
Those high achievers are indicative of the talent and commitment of FISD student-athletes and their coaches and support staff. It’s also impressive that every sport that Frisco ISD offers is represented in that list of high-achieving teams.

All 12 of Frisco ISD’s varsity high school football teams will play this week, on either Thursday (Aug. 28) or Friday (Aug. 29). Here is a composite schedule of all the FISD varsity football games this season.
Cross country, tennis and volleyball teams are also playing as we head into the weekend, and some will be playing this weekend. A daily schedule of all varsity athletics events can be found here.
